Microsoft Java Virtual Machine Download, msjavx86.exe, 5.0.3810.0

The Microsoft java virtual machine (MSJVM) died on December 31, 2007.

In 2001, the Sun Microsystems and Microsoft signed an agreement, which allows Microsoft to continue distributing products that contained a Microsoft-made JVM by January 2004. Microsoft paid Sun $20 million that time. In October 2003, the deadline was moved to September, 2004. And, finally in April 2004, Sun Microsystems prolonged Microsoft's license to use Sun's Java source code and support the MSJVM until December 31, 2007.

The most recent build number of the MS JVM (Microsoft VM) is 3810. The previous version was 3805. There is a mention of MS Virtual Machine version 3812 that only provides a hotfix to the MSJVM to make it compatible with DST 2007 (daylight saving time 2007) rules. The 3810 Microsoft VM includes a fix for security vulnerability with ByteCode Verifier component of the Microsoft VM, that does not correctly block some malicious Java applets.

Also you can update previous versions of the Microsoft VM to Build 3810 by installing the Microsoft 816093 critical update.
